Spicy Chili Schublig Sausage Salad (Thai-style Yum)

Spicy Chili Schublig sausages are tossed with bouncy shrimp, tender minced pork, sliced shallots, cilantro, and tomatoes. All mixed together in a bold Thai-style dressing that's spicy, tangy, sweet, and perfectly balanced.

Ingredients

  • 1 Chili Schublig Sausage
  • 2 Fresh shrimp
  • 3 Minced pork
  • 4 Shallots, thinly sliced
  • 5 Tomatoes, sliced
  • 6 Culantro (or substitute with cilantro if unavailable)
  • 7 Red chili peppers
  • 8 Fresh garlic
  • 9 Pickled garlic brine
  • 1 Fish sauce
  • 1 Fermented fish sauce (Pla Ra)
  • 1 Sugar
  • 1 Lime juice

Instructions

  1. 1 Make the spicy dressing:
    Blend red chilies and fresh garlic together. Season with fish sauce, fermented fish sauce (Pla Ra), pickled garlic brine, sugar, and lime juice. Adjust the taste to your liking — it should be spicy, tangy, and slightly sweet.
  2. 1 Prepare the proteins:
    Blanch the Chili Schublig sausages, shrimp, and minced pork separately in boiling water. Drain well and set aside.
  3. 1 Toss the salad:
    In a large mixing bowl, combine the blanched sausages, shrimp, minced pork, sliced shallots, sliced tomatoes, and chopped culantro. Pour the spicy dressing over the ingredients and toss everything together until evenly coated.
  4. 1 Serve immediately:
    Plate the salad and enjoy the explosion of flavors!
